Complete the Voter Registration Application and return to the Elections Administrator in the Clerk and Recorders office in person, by email at email@example.com, or by mail c/o Elections at 800 Main Street, Anaconda MT 59711.
Inactive voters are registered voters who have not voted for 2 election years, or do not have a valid address on file with the county election office. Absentee Ballots are not sent too these voters automatically. To vote, inactive voters need to file a new voter registration form with the Election Administrator by email, mail or in person before the close of regular registration.
During Late Registration an inactive voter must appear in person to the ADLC courthouse and fill out out a new voter registration form at this time they will be given an absentee ballot that must be turned back in to the Election Administrator before or on election day or to their proper polling place on election day. On Election day an inactive voter can also fill out a voter registration form at the polls to vote if they appear in the poll workers register. If they are not in the register they must appear in person to the ADLC courthouse and fill out out a new voter registration form to vote in that election.

If you were expecting an absentee ballot but have not yet received it, feel free to contact the Elections office to confirm your absentee status and if your ballot has been mailed. The Elections office number is 406-563-4061.
Ballots for the 2020 Primary Election will be mailed on Friday May 8th, 2020.
ADLC 2020 Primary Ballot will be an ALL-MAIL BALLOT Postage to return your ballot will be paid. Make every attempt to mail your ballot in light of COVID-19 for the safety of yourself and others. You will be able to drop off your ballot on election day but you will be required to comply with the governor’s directive and social distancing.
For the 2020 General:
If you received an absentee ballot but would like to vote at the polling location instead you are able to forfeit your absentee ballot at the elections office in order to have you status changed.
This ballot will be marked as UNVOTED or SPOILED and you will be issued a new ballot at the polls.
The Anaconda School District #10 Trustee Election is an all mail ballot election held on Tuesday May 5th, 2020. Anaconda-Deer Lodge County provides voter registration information to the School District for this Election, and the School District will mail the ballots out on Wednesday April 15th, 2020. If you would like to vote in this election you must be a registered voter in Anaconda-Deer Lodge County by 5 PM on April 6th, 2020 Update: The Governor’s Directive on March 25th has extended registration for this election to April 27th, 2020. If you miss this new registration deadline you may register in person by appointment only by calling 563-4046. On Tuesday May 5th, 2020 all ballots must be received by this date in order to be counted. Contact Gayle Clark at Anaconda School District #10 with any questions.
The 2020 Primary Federal Election will be held on Tuesday June 2nd, 2020. You can register in person, by email or by mail during regular voter registration which ends at 5 PM on Monday May 4th, 2020 by submitting a voter registration application to the Election Administrator. Late Registration begins on Tuesday May 5th, 2020 and runs until election day on June 2nd, you MUST register IN PERSON and WITH VALID ID to be able to vote in the 2020 Primary during this time.*Update: The Governor’s Directive on March 25th has extended registration for this election to May 26th, 2020. If you miss this new registration deadline you may register in person by appointment only by calling 563-4046. All Ballots will be mailed on Friday May 8th, 2020 to any registered voter who registered by the first registration date. If you register during the extended registration dates your ballot will be mailed based on the day your registration is received.
